MOXIE Presents: A La Mode

MOXIE Contemporary Ballet brings three dance companies together for an evening of collaboration in contemporary dance performance. Gina Candland, Artistic Director of MOXIE Contemporary Ballet has created a unique performance event with Happydog and Muddy Feet. Choreographed by Candland, the evening will focus on classical athleticism and how the body moves through symmetry. Three new works will be performed, each demonstrating a unique side of the company’s repertoire. Ladybug Run!

Join the Ladybug CDH foundation for their annual 5K and 10K race at Cooks park in Tigard. The stroller-friendly race course winds through open green spaces and forested paths along the Tualatin River in Tigard's Cook Park and adjoining neighborhoods to provide a unique and fun running experience. All race participants will receive a t-shirt, medal, enjoy live music, craft beer and much more! Best of all, the proceeds from the race go to the Ladybug CDH Foundation whose mission is to help raise public awareness, fund medical research, and  provide direct assistance to families in the Pacific Northwest with children affected by Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH), a potentially fatal congenital birth defect that affects 1 out of 2500 children born every year. Oregon International Air Show

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be headlining the 2015 Intel Oregon International Air Show presented by Standard TV & Appliance.In addition to our performers, the Intel Oregon International Air Show is pleased to have various aircraft on display. Military statics are subject to cancellations based on military need.The Entertainment Center offers exciting displays and fun for kids and adults alike. The Entertainment Center has a lot to offer… from local vendors and souvenirs to elephant ears and teriyaki chicken!The Intel Oregon International Air Show will take place on July 17 - 19, 2015 at the Hillsboro Airport. The Bite of Oregon

The Bite of Oregon celebrates its 32nd anniversary August 7‐9th at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park. During the three‐day weekend event, Oregon’s top chefs, best wineries, breweries, cideries and distilleries, along with celebrity chef demonstrations and challenges, live entertainment and children’s activities, will join forces to make the Bite of Oregon one of the state’s premier outdoor culinary events. Ramona Quimby

Don’t miss Ramona Quimby playing at the Newmark Theatre now through May 31st!  She lives on Klickitat Street in Northeast Portland. She’s incredibly imaginative, boisterous, at times even exasperating, but always fun. She’s beginning third grade where she discovers school is about to become a lot more serious. Big changes are happening at home too. Ramona and her big sister Beezus narrate this poignant story of a middle class Portland family in transition.
