THANK YOU for helping us find homes for the dogs and cats living in the shelter at the Oregon Humane Society!! If the "CLICK HERE" link for more information does not work, that means the dog or cat has been adopted. But there are plenty more dogs and cats that need a home! Check them out at www.oregonhumane.org.
My name is Stewart, and I'm looking for a warm lap to lie on. It takes me a little time to trust new people in new places, but give me a few minutes and I'll be your best friend. That's probably how I will greet most new people, but I've heard it's a somewhat endearing trait. You'll have to let me know what you think about it. I really do enjoy getting out and about for daily bouts of exercise and play, and a Basic Manners class, like those offered here at OHS, would help further boost my confidence in new situations. I tend to get along with dogs my size, but I might be intimidated by bigger dogs. I've come here with the hope of finding my forever home, and you seem like just the type of person I want to spend forever with. How about we visit for a while and see if we're a match like I think we might be?
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!
Bella is one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet. She loves nothing more than to be with her favorite people and to be showered with attention. Bella is an older lady that deserves only the best in a home that can spoil her with the finer things in life. She is content to sit at your feet while you work on the computer but loves going on her daily walks and skipping around the yard. Bella has always been the only canine companion in her home and would prefer to keep it that way. A medical consultation is included prior to her adoption.
Ruby is a very sweet, loving and active girl. She enjoys playing games with her favorite toys, hanging out with her best friends and going on daily walks. Ruby will do best in a home that can provide her with daily exercise and plenty of love and attention. Ruby is happiest when she can spend most of her day with her human companions and enjoys being involved in their daily activities. She will need to be the only dog as she does not like other dogs around her. She can be an escape artist and will need an adult only home or one with very mature children who can understand not to let her escape. A training consult is included prior to her adoption to help her adjust to you and her new home.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!
WESTSIDE ADOPTION CENTER: I am at Lexi Dog on 6100 SW Macadam Ave Portland OR (503-245-4363). Come meet me there! Chance is a special dog that is looking for a special home to call his own. A home with owners that have herding breed experience is a must for Chance to succeed at becoming a fantastic dog. He has a lot of energy and will require an active owner who is able to take him running, hiking, or even swimming. Chance would also benefit from daily mental stimulation, such as agility, to help keep his herding tendencies to a minimum. It is recommended that Chance go to a home with older, dog-savvy children and one without cats. He will need continued training and socialization to help make him a great dog! Won't you give this cute pup a chance?

He will also need a patient owner that is willing to crate train him so that he doesn't have an accident or take to chewing on things. Wally does not like to be left alone and will need to live with someone who is home most of the day or can take him to work with them. Wally G would love to find his forever best friend. WESTSIDE ADOPTION CENTER: I am at Lexi Dog on 6100 SW Macadam Ave. Portland, OR (503-245-4363). Come meet me there! This tender guy is Oliver Twist. He is a shy fella who takes the slow lane in life and enjoys sipping his water instead of lapping it all up quickly. He will need a home that can be patient with him and help him adjust to his new surroundings with support and encouragement. Oliver Twist enjoys being close to you and will want to be a part of what you are doing while he becomes a member of the home. He will make a great lap companion and be more than willing to join you on the couch or in bed whenever he gets the chance. Oliver Twist can't wait to be a part of something special. Oliver Twist came to OHS through our Second Chance program from Merced Co. Animal Control.

I am Rex, king of all treats and snuggles! I love my people more than anything; food is a close second. I know to go potty outside, and I walk well on leash. I am a gentle kind of guy, happy to rest my head on your lap or lie by your feet. I want to be near someone all the time, so if you spend much time away from home, I might not be the best match for you. I've lived with cats and we got along just fine, but I think I'd prefer to be the only dog in the home. I would be pleased as punch to go home with someone who has older kids who know to be gentle with and respectful of me! If you like the idea of a constant companion and exercise buddy, I need to shed a few pounds, so come have a chat with me and see if we're a match! A training consultation is included in my adoption. I was recently given a spa day by groomers Deena Holeman and Erin Fogg from 2 Girls Grooming who donated their time to make me look extra special!

So big it's actually registered as the world's largest...

It's called the Kissinger. It is a small skype-ready robotic pig that will send the sensation of your unique lips and kiss over the internet to the person you are skyping with (assuming they also have a Kissinger). Now you can kiss your loved ones...
