So, I know its going to be warmer towards the end of this week (at least at the time of this writing)... that said, tis the season for slow cooking! Have you ever experienced such a wonder? I absolutely love it. Slow cooking is one of my favorite things ever. Simply throw some ingredients in a pot, turn it on, leave your house, and voilà! You return home several hours later, and everything is done. Tenderly cooked, piping hot. So delicious. And as an added bonus.. when you come home your house smells like Cracker Barrel (thats a restaurant in case youre not familiar) It just doesnt get any better than that. I just bought myself a slow cooker yesterday and on the very first day of bringing it home, made the BEST homemade vegetable soup, using all locally grown vegetables. Sooo good!
