Yesterday on June 27th, 24 pooches and their owners competed to win the grand prize at Portland's 6th annual Next Top Dog Model. The dogs were split up into 2 categories (small dogs and big dogs) and were judged on apperance, personality, and behavior.
This competition was the toughest yet as the judges fell in love with each of the dogs that went up on stage. Eventually when it came down to the voting, they were able to pick 3 top finalists in both categories.
In the small dog category, Sachi, Bobo, and Tully were the finalists. Sachi ended up taking home the bacon with the winning score!
Due to the overwheling affection of the crowd, Bobo got people's choice.
In the big dog category, Lowell, Noah, and Barley were the finalists. But there could only be room for 1 winner as Barley stole the show.
Noah stole the audiences heart however by winning people's choice!
For those that enjoy the immensely popular meme and feline "Grumpy cat" (real name Tarder Sauce), Good news is coming your way! The cat's owners just signed a deal to star in a Garfield-like family movie about a talking cat!
No title has been given to the movie yet but Grumpy cat's rep Al Hassas and manager Ben Lashes have teamed up with Todd Garner and Sean Robins (who had previously made Zookeeper and Jack and Jill) To bring this internet sensation to life.
Not much is known about the movie so far but it has been stated that the movie will be a Live-action film rather than an animated film.
Todd Garner of Broken Road Productions shared his views on the grumpy "2013 meme of the year" cat by stating "This started off as a picture of a cat, but rare is an image that evokes that much comedy. You read all of the memes and the comments, and one is funnier than the next. We think we can build a big family comedy with this character."
So what are your thoughts? Are you excited for this movie? Will you see it when it comes out?
In Hemel Hampstead, United Kingdom, the police had to be called in to the town center to rescue a man who had got himself stuck inside of a traffic bollard. The man put the bollard on his head as a joke but became stuck in it for two whole hours before a concerned onlooker called the athorities to get the man unstuck. All the other passers by just stopped to watch the man's misfortune.
John Waterman, 28, recorded the incident on his phone and described the situation as "It was very random, its not the usual thing you see in the middle of Hemel Hampstead on a Sunday lunchtime. [...] It took his friend and a policeman to get him out. It needed a good heave and his back was badly scratched afterwards."
Would you have helped the guy or laughed and walk away?
Bela Borsodi, proffesional photographer, was asked to do the cover art for VLP's new album "Terrain" back in March 2011. Borsodi accepted then proceeded to rearrange and paint furnature and other inanimate objects to look like 4 different photographs when, in reality, was only one photograph.
How long do you think it took to create this photograph?
According to Billboard.com, early on Tuesday morning (6/18), Rihanna surpassed Justin Biebers title of the Most viewed artist on YouTube. Rihanna's official VEVO channel have now gathered up 3.7+ billion views which crushed Biebers official VEVO channel by about 2 million views.
This could be due to Rihanna's larger fanbase of 8.73 million subscribers to Bieber's 4.9 subscribers. While Bieber's fan base may be more. . . engaged, Rihanna's fanbase is simply larger with a broader reach of fans thus securing her spot as the queen bee on youtube.
We can expect Bieber's fan base to respond soon to this news. Bieber still is the most followed on twitter so all he would have to do is tweet out a plea for help to win back his title. We can be sure Bieber's army will do anything to help him out, even if that means spending hours watching his videos until he is back on top.
Which artist do you think has better music videos on their YouTube channel? Who do you think will end up wining this tug-of-war?

"I heard it before it even came out." This is what you'll be saying about the new Empire of the Sun album after you read this blog. Their new album, Ice on the Dune is aimed to hit radio, and after you bob your head to these electro-pop beats, you won't be surprised when this album becomes your summer anthem. The synths have a trippy vibe that even the most anti-LSD listener can still appreciate. Thanks to Rolling Stone, you can stream the entire album for free here. Already know you want to purchase it? Awesome! Pre-order through iTunes and wait for the drop on June 18th.
If you're familiar with the show 'Weeds', you know it consists of a babablicious mother who sells maryjane undercover. What we have here almost perfectly exemplifies this Hollywood story. Andrea Sanderlin of Scarsdale, NY was recently busted for growing 2,800 marijuana plants and slanging huge quantities of dried marijuana. To most, Sanderlin was your typical "Keeping Up With the Joneses" mother as she lived a lavish lifestyle. To others who knew her well, she was the real life version of Nancy Botwin. Sanderlin was ratted out by someone else who was busted on a separate incident in order to save himself.
Well this is ridiculous. One of Lady Gaga's crew members scooped up an acrylic finger nail that popped off the Diva's finger last September. Some may think that's gross, but not this guy. He had dollar signs in his eyes and auctioned that sucker off for 12,000 bones at Artfact.com. Seems shady? I thought so too until I saw the actual pictures he included to prove it was her's. What I really want to know is, what is this Gaga obsessed buyer doing with the finger nail now? We can only imagine.
Jack White grew up going to the Detroit Masonic Temple, where his mother worked as an usher. As a musician, White played at the well known venue on numerous occasions. When he found out that the venue was going to be foreclosed, he anonymously donated the outstanding $142,000 tax bill to keep them open. The secret didn't last for long, as White couldn't bare to hold the secret anymore considering his deep rooted love for the venue. In honor of White saving the day, the Masonic Temple is going to name their Cathedral Theater the Jack White Theater. Way to go, Jack!
