Portland author, Don Miller....presidential babysitter?
by Sheryl Stewart,posted Dec 9 2009 2:41PM
I've been hearing about Don Miller's books for years now....mostly from my buddies in Switchfoot...but then, more and more band guys started mentioning his work. His new book, "A Million Miles In A Thousand Years" is about what he learned about life, while trying to write a screenplay, based on his life. Not only was the book full of scenes from Portland life, it was funny and it really challenged me to live my life as a story worth telling.
Don is reading from his new book tonight at Powell's City Of Books on Burnside....7:30 pm. Maybe I'll see you there....but in the meantime, here's my conversation with Don Miller in which, he talks about his book....the movie based on his life....the time he babysat for the Obama girls....his pop music guilty pleasures (coughcoughmileycyruscoughcough)....and what he loves about Portland. Enjoy!
