My visit to Univeristy of Western States!

It's gonna be tough to put in words, all the impressive things I saw during my recent visit to the Massage Therapy department at the University of Western States in NE Portland - but I can tell you, the thing I immediately noticed was the "University" feel of their campus. That's when it hit me - it's called University of Western States - aha!
The very next thing to impress upon me, was HOW they teach you Massage Therapy. From the cutting edge equipment, to the high-tech labs, to their "healthcare" approach to therapeutic and rehabilitative massage techniques - it's clear to me, that a UWS graduate is more than prepared to hit the ground running!
University of Western States doesn't just talk the talk…as a student, you get real, hands-on experience using the University's incomparable resources. At UWS the Massage Therapy curriculum focuses on human anatomy. In fact, one of the coolest things I saw during my time at UWS is their cadaver lab - it was like something you see on TV!
Oh.. and you don't think I'd stop by University of Western States without getting a "sample" massage, do you? Of course not! Let me tell you, it was GREAT!
As with any University, I really believe, the people you interact with on campus can be as important as the academic offerings, and at University of Western States, I kept running into cool people who really appeared to be happy be there. It was a good vibe on the UWS campus, for sure!
