Dead Shark Found in New York Subway Train

Commuters on board a New York subway discovered a dead one-and-a-half-foot shark on the floor under a row of seats around midnight!

The 10 pound shark was said to not be dead for very long since it was still wet with blood around the mouth. Passengers took lots of photographs before the conductor evacuated the carriage and disposed of the shark.

Commuter Mary M told gothamist.com, "I board a car that's not terribly full and as soon as I enter, a stench hits my nose. It's not the typical urine/trash smell, it's. . .fishy? I look down to the end of the car to see a dead shark on the floor. I think I stood there for a good minute just staring, thinking 'Is this for real?!'"

No one has been able to identify where the shark came from but some speculators think that the appearance of the shark was a publicity stunt for Discovery Channel's "Shark Week". However, the Discovery Channel denies any involvement.

I can't see Discovery Channel leaving a half alive shark in a train in NY. Not very logical. I am guessing this was just an individual who had seen Sharknado one too many times.
