Building on its fruitful history of working in film, this spring BodyVox will embark on a new approach to its unique brand of dance theater. Utilizing a mash up of cinematic scenes from classic films and cutting edge independent productions, action films will blend with comedy, drama and sci-fi to create an architecture for movement motifs that reinterpret the scenes, adding layers of dramatic context. Including a new film from Mitchell Rose, this original production will journey to an intersection of nostalgia, performance and innovation, where we find movies and memories at the heart of our shared experiences. The 2012 NW Spirits and Mixology Show presented by Alaska Airlines is bringing the cocktail world to you. This is Central Oregon’s chance to meet and mingle with some of the Northwest’s most exciting craft distillers and bartenders, as well as sample over 75 varieties of Whiskey, Brandy, Liqueurs, Vodka, Gin, Mezcal, Tequila and Rum, representing the Northwest and beyond.
The mélange of Master Distillers, Craft Bartenders and Connoisseurs, will inevitably spark your interest and feed your palette with eloquently designed cocktails, distilling education and spirits tastings. The collection of craft cocktail artistry represents the cutting edge of the cocktail culture. Get a taste of what’s hot in the still and stirred from the bar at the Bite of Bend’s newest addition, the NW Spirits and Mixology Show at 2pm Saturday June 23rd on Minnesota St., between Bond and Lava.
The Northwest Spirits and Mixology Show will be it’s own pavilion within the Bite of Bend. Located on Minnesota Street in Downtown Bend, attendees will pay an entrance fee of $15 (includes one cocktail) to access the show.
